  6. Why are some of your items made from Modal and some of them made from Viscose from Bamboo? When we started Bestaroo, all our products were made from Viscose from Bamboo, so our older collections are made from the Viscose. We recently decided to switch to Modal, as there are many more benefits not only for your baby but for the environment as well. We also think that the modal is much softer than the bamboo.
  7.  What is Modal? We source the modal fibers from Austria from a company called Lenzing. The fibers are then sent to Thailand where the baby apparel is constructed. Lenzing Modal®, a modal fiber from Lenzing, is naturally soft on the skin and exceptionally ecological. The fiber is produced, using Edelweiss technology. Edelweiss stands for a "symbiotic" production process - pulp, the raw material, is produced at the same site as the Modal fiber itself. Thus production can be done while going easy on energy and other resources. Simply Edelweiss! Lenzing Modal®, a modal fiber from Lenzing, is extracted from beechwood. The beech tree is quite unique and has grown in Europe for a very long time. Directly from beechwood forests, Lenzing Modal® gives each and every textile a natural image.
  8. Are any of your products treated with flame retardant chemicals? No, we do not treat any Bestaroo garments with flame retardant chemicals, we do comply with the "snug fitting" requirement for all our loungewear.
