My Story
Hi there ... my name is Lavinia and I am the founder of Bestaroo ♥️
My journey in the baby and kids world began in 2004, when my first son was born and I fell completely head over heels for all things baby. I couldn’t get enough of the tiny clothes, the clever gear, the magic wrapped up in those early days. I started designing fun and functional diaper bags, thinking I had found my little creative corner of motherhood. Turns out, that was just the opening chapter.
Fast forward to 2010 and life looked very different. I had a five-year-old, a newborn, and I was newly single. In true “life reset” fashion, I cut my hair super short. A little dramatic? Absolutely. Necessary? Also yes. Somewhere between midnight feedings and figuring out how to do it all on my own, I felt a pull to create something new. I shifted from diaper bags to apparel, and that’s when Bestaroo was born.
My Loves & Vision
Bestaroo started in the beautifully messy season of childhood. My kids were little, days were long, outfits were optional, and imagination showed up before breakfast. Fast forward a bunch of years and somehow those tiny humans are now… taller, cooler, and very sure of their opinions. Because while childhood changes, the magic doesn’t disappear. It just grows legs, learns to skate, and maybe picks up a guitar.
At Bestaroo, we envision a world where childhood is celebrated loudly, daily, and without apology. A world where unicorns are taken seriously, skating dogs are perfectly reasonable, and guitar-playing gorillas feel like old friends. We believe imagination is not a phase to grow out of, but a gift to be protected
Our Mission
Our mission is to create joyful, imaginative apparel that feels as good as it looks and supports children through every stage of growing up. As a mom, I know how deeply it matters to dress our little ones in clothes that are safe, comfortable, and made to last through real life.
That’s why we choose only the finest materials, including super-soft viscose from bamboo and modal. Our fabrics are gentle on delicate skin, naturally hypoallergenic, and eco-friendly, because caring for our kids also means caring for the world they’re growing into.
At Bestaroo, we’re here to make clothes that spark imagination, stand up to play, and help keep the magic of childhood alive, one colorful, cozy piece at a time.
